INRS (Institut national de la recherche scientifique) ranks first in Canada in terms of research intensity (funding per faculty member). It brings together professors, researchers, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in its four research centres in Montreal, Quebec City, Laval and Varennes.


A post-doctoral position is immediately available at the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique – Centre Energy, Materials and Telecommunications (INRS-EMT) in Varennes, Quebec, Canada, in the Montreal region. The post-doctoral fellow will work under the direction of Professor Chaker, director of the LMN (Laboratory of Micro and Nanofabrication.

Candidates profile:

The position requires a Ph.D. (or equivalent diploma) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a closely related field.

The successful applicant will have a strong background in the area of integrated photonics and opto-electronics, with a proved research track record in the design and simulation of integrated optical devices, complemented with hands-on experience in the fabrication and characterization of the designed photonic devices. The selected candidate will participate in the development of innovative photonic devices.
